EN Star trail surrounding the North Star, formed by the apparent movement of the stars, due to the Earth rotation, captured at the Natural Park of Serra de Aire e Candeeiros, in Chão das Pias municipality, on the top of Fórnea.
Fórnea (sinkhole) is a magnificent structure shaped like an amphitheatre, measuring around 500m in diameter and 250m in height, it matches the head of the brook of Fórnea dug through marly limestone and marls from the Lower Jurassic overlapped by Middle Jurassic limestone.
The Limestone Massif, which started taking shape about 200 million years ago, is essentially composed of carbonate rocks of marine origin. In fact, during the Jurassic period, there was an important shift in which the moving ocean flooded the then immersed lands, creating the thick deposits that today make the Limestone Massif.

This photo represents the Earth rotation during 152 minutes.
